- An (A&P) powerplant mechanic maintains, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, and troubleshoots the
engines of aircraft to meet FAA standards. This job involves tasks such as performing routine

engine. A&P mechanics often work in hangars, repair stations, and on airfields, and usually, work
full-time on an eight-hour shift. Overtime and weekend work are also common with this job. A&P
mechanics should have strong mechanical abilities and knowledge, be incredibly detail-oriented
and thorough, and be skilled at working with complex information and equipment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, inspect, test, adjust, Autopilots, EFIS Systems, Radar, Radio, Navigation, Transponders etc.
Must have experience on Cessna, Piper and Beech Aircraft and have experience performing FAR 91.411 & FAR 91.413 inspections.
Must be able to Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems to LRU level at a minimum.
Including areas of: Com/Nav, ADF, Transponder, DME, Radar, Audio Systems, Navigation Instrumentation, Autopilot system components, Radio Altimeters, etc.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma.
Minimum of five years of previous related avionics experience.
Must have experience with Garmin, S-TEC, Aspen, Bendix/King etc.
Factory Trained and AEA Training of various types in Avionics and repair is a plus.
A&P Certification is a plus.
Salary Range:
$23.00 to $25.00

Job Responsibilities
- Inspect and receive incoming units sent to an outside vendor for repairs.
- Visually inspect all incoming orders, and documentation provided by customers, purchase orders, repair order requirements.
- Ensure the acceptable quality of materials and workmanship of incoming parts.
- Ensure all parts received match purchasing’s PO requirements and Vendor Services RO requirements.
- Correctly enter all information into the Quantum database system.
- Inspect material for the correct part number, serial number, nomenclature, condition, quantity, airworthiness documentation, and source documents.
- Work with the other departments to assist in developing and providing a lean process.
- Image all incoming related documentation associated with the inspected material.
- Apply appropriate bar-code labels to packaged parts and ensure all required documentation accompanies parts or order(s).
- Review all repair orders and ensure material is repaired in accordance with the applicable AD’s and SB’s, as required.
- Document all non-conformances of incoming orders.
- Maintain current knowledge of FAR’s and industry requirements.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience in Aviation Inventory, Inspection, or related Operations experience
- Experience working in or with the aerospace and defense industry (both commercial and government)

Description:
Rewind and assemble various kinds of aircraft electrical motor component sub-assemblies. Rewinding is the installation of wire and coils into aviation motor and generator sub-components.
- Previous experience is desirable. If not, initial training will be provided.
- Mechanical skills desirable with willingness to work neatly
Qualification:
- Must have a basic mechanical aptitude
- Must be detailed oriented and work neatly
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Willing to assemble and disassemble electric motors (benchtop work only)

Training provided:
- How to inspect the condition of components

- Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding
- Rewind various kinds of components including but not limited to armatures, fields, rotors, stators and transformers
- The proper use of test equipment
- Soldering and Brazing wire connection, proper insulation techniques
- How to read basic mechanical drawings and wire diagrams
