Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aviation Mechanic to join our team. As an Aviation Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of aircraft to ensure their safe and efficient operation. You will work closely with a team of professionals to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in aviation maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $33.53 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule: 8 hour shift (M-F 8A-5P) Weekends as needed (Saturdays occasionally)

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on various aircraft models.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of aircraft components, such as engines, landing gear, and avionics systems.
- Inspections and Testing:
- Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and routine inspections to identify any potential issues.
- Perform testing and calibration of aircraft systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Complete required documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and logbook entries.
- Update maintenance tracking systems and ensure data integrity.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Implement proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Stay informed about industry developments and changes in aviation regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other aviation professionals, including pilots, engineers, and other mechanics.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics or apprentices.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss maintenance schedules, issues, and improvements.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, tools, and equipment.
- Perform regular inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Report any issues or malfunctions for prompt repair or replacement.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification.
- Previous experience as an aviation mechanic, preferably working on a variety of aircraft types.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must pass drug screening test.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
